According to WIFR.com the plaintiffs in the case are Abidon, Inc., Robert E. Bloom, Jr., Don Bondick, Terry Siebert, and Dennis Van Wormer.

The plaintiffs argue that the approval by Rockford city council of Rockford Housing Authority and Gorman's plat back on January 19th is not only illegal, but unconstitutional and invalid. They filed their suit last Thursday (2/18). The plaintiffs believe this might be the last opportunity to halt the entire project.

According to the story on WIFR.com, Howard Miller (Abidon Inc), who owns New Towne Plaza said:

"We'd like to stop it from being built, but I don't know if it can be done," Miller said. "At least, we might be able to lower the amount of units. If it was 10 units, nobody would say anything I don't think."
