Illinois Festival Is Giving You A Chance To Sing And Win Cash
Do you sing in the shower? Do you sing in the car? Do people cringe when you sing? If you answered "yes" to the first two you'll want to read this. If you answered "yes" to the third this might get a little awkward.
There's a small Illinois town that hosts its own annual festival, drawing in many out-of-towners to enjoy its food, carnival rides, and live music. Speaking of which, they have a spot on the their main stage for singers to win CASH.
Byron, Illinois has more than just a nuclear plant and a state championship high school football team.The cozy little town also have a dozen places to grab a bite and drink, which gets cranked up to 110% during ByronFest. It's one of the most popular events in Northern Illinois.
ATTENTION KARAOKE FIENDS
If you can truly sing without making ears bleed you need to pay close attention. Even if you're an adaquate singer there is a chance for you to win cash too.
HOW IT WORKS
On Thursdays, May 26-Jun 23, the first 10 people to signup to sing karaoke at each location will compete for a ByronFest goodie bag including a ByronFest wristband and the winner of each week receive a ByronFest Carnival Mega Pass (unlimited rides).
May 26: Messie's Bar & Grill (Oregon)
June 2: Salt 251 (Rochelle)
June 9: The Rack on 72 (Stillman Valley)
June 16: Weezy's Sports Bar & Grill (Byron)
June 23: The Idle Hour (Mt. Morris)
The 5 finalists will then each sing 2 songs to at the semi final on June 30 at Uptown Lanes in Byron.
The three remaining singers will perform on stage at Byronfeston July 9, with three cash prizes on the line totaling $600. You can read more here.
