Ferris Bueller's Day Off was one of the very first movies I ever saw in movie theaters; I went with my babysitter and her boyfriend and I distinctly remember that after seeing it, I couldn't wait to be in high school so I could play hookie from school and actually be Ferris Bueller.

That childhood dream has now become a reality with Ferris Fest. You could actually be Ferris for not just one day, but an entire weekend. Well...sort of.

The city of Chicago is celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Ferris Bueller's Day Off with a three day celebration that includes a bus tour of key sites from the movie, a screening of the movie with Richard Roeper with a Q&A with Ferris' parents from the film, the chance to experience a replica of Ferris' room; followed by a live recreation of the "Twist and Shout" parade scene.

The entire three-day-experience is $300 but you can also get tickets to specific events, too. And this is pretty cool, a portion of ticket sales will be donated to the anti-bullying charity, Stomp out Bullying.
