Unfriendly Confines? Wrigley Field Ranks 28th in New Stadium Survey

As a lifelong Cubs fan, I never really had a bad experience, outside of all the losing, at Wrigley Field. I've sat through rain delays, blowouts, shutouts, and yet another Cubs loss, but I never felt like the place wasn't welcoming.

A brand new study checked out more than 800,000 different Google and TripAdvisor reviews for all 30 stadiums, and Wrigley Field ranked 28th out of 30, making it one of the lowest-rated stadiums for visitor friendliness.

Only Yankee Stadium (29th) and Fenway Park (30th) ranked lower than Wrigley Field.

Sox Boast Bragging Rights as White Sox Beat Out the Cubs

Even the Chicago White Sox's Rate Field ranked higher than the somewhat Friendly Confines at 23rd overall. If White Sox fans were looking for a reason to boast, this certainly gives them some unexpected bragging rights.

The Cubs ranked 29th on TripAdvisor and 25th on Google. Researchers looked for reviews that mention keywords like friendly, helpful, courteous staff and the overall welcoming atmosphere. I never thought Wrigley Field would rank so low.

The most welcoming stadium is Tropicana Field in Tampa. It might be time for a road trip to check out a Rays game to see what all of us Cubs fans have been presumably missing out on.
