This chilling video shot on the south side of Chicago is going viral where are woman confronts a child walking down the street carrying a gun.

Things in Chicago at the moment are horrific. Every week more and more gun violence claims lives with no end in sight.

According to the Washington Post, "In the first quarter of 2016, 141 people were killed, up from 82 last year, according to police department data. The number of shootings surged to 677 from 359 a year earlier. The city is on track to have more than 500 killings this year, which would make this just the third year since 2004 that Chicago topped that figure."

Gun violence isn't only a Chicago problem, the Washington Times says "Rockford last year saw a 24 percent surge in violent crimes, driven by rising youth violence and crimes involving guns, police in Illinois’ third-largest city said."

The problem is everywhere. We need more people like the woman in the video who are brave enough to stop things like this before something terrible happens.
