Cooling Centers are Now Open Around Rockford
If you have air conditioning, consider yourself blessed. It was HOT over the weekend, and the temperatures are set to remain in the 90's throughout the week.
Most of us consider air conditioning a necessity, however some people in the Rockford area are not that fortunate. Thankfully, Rockford Rescue Mission opened it's doors to dozens of men and women over the weekend to provide them with a spot to cool down when the heat got unbearable. There will be several other places acting as cooling centers over the next week. This heat is no joke. Stay cool and pass this along to someone who may need it.
