Illinois Couple Dine & Dash After Leaving "Thanks For Dinner" Note

Illinoisans still haven't understood the consequences of intentionally walking out on their tab at restaurants or bars.

This isn't the first time we've heard of this happening in the Stateline. Just a few weeks ago, a woman at a Rockford bar walked out on a $63.50 tab. Apparently, it wasn't her first rodeo ripping off businesses.

Now we're hearing about two people dining and dashing at Buster's Bar & Grill in Loves Park. Not only did they purposely not pay their bill, they had the AUDACITY to leave a "Thank You" note on a napkin for the server to find.

I won't show their faces because I don't know if there is an active investigation with local authorities, but here's what someone (bartender/server/employee) posted to Facebook:

"Now, back to business!! Another walk out! Bar owners, bartenders, and servers: Beware of these gems! No ifs, ands or buts, from now on we preauthorize ANYONE! Sorry for any inconvenience, but we are not a soup kitchen! They had the nerve to even leave a note!" [Sara VW]

Everything they ordered is fine, but the problem I have is the anchovies on the pizza. Ew. To each their own, I guess lol.

The fact that the two thought it'd make the situation better by leaving a "sweet" note for the server to find is already getting my blood boiling... WITH SMILEY FACES!

If you're ever thinking about walking out on your tab or dine and dashing, especially over $38.95? Remember your face will probably be plastered all over social media for everyone to see. EMBARRASSING.

I'll say this again: There are cameras everywhere. Are we unaware of that?!

It's just not worth it. It's also so sh*tty to do to a business. Pay your tabs or end up in a post like these Loves Park people. One def sounds better than the other, trust me.
