Two ex-lovers sit in silence after seeing each other for the first time in 30 years.

This is so beautiful and raw; something that you only read about it great novels or see on the big screen.

In the 1970's an artist named Marina and her then boyfriend Ulay broke up. Heartbreaking, yes, but they turned it into an unforgettable moment. They decided to go to the opposite ends of the Great Wall of China and walked towards each other in the middle for one last embrace; they hadn't seen each other since.

After more than 30 years Marina held a live artist performance at the Museum of Modern Art. For the display, complete strangers were expected to sit in silence across from Marina as they stared at each other. Marina is able to maintain eye contact with each and every individual put in front of her until one day Ulay surprises her...and their silent reaction to seeing each other again will move you to tears.

We could all be so lucky to find what I can only imagine was a great and powerful love between Marina and Ulay. If I were to see an ex from 30 years ago, that moment wouldn't be nearly half as amazing as the brief moment these two shared.
