Experts Share Tips On Avoiding Package Theft This Holiday Season

'Tis the season for packages disappearing from random doorsteps.

Seriously, this is the time of the year when gift packages come through the mail but some never make it inside homes. And being stolen isn't the reason why packages disappear or are damaged, the blame also goes to harsh weather and animals. All those reasons are why experts in Rockford have two important tips on how to make sure all the packages make it inside the intended destination.

1. Don't let packages sit outside for more than a day or two.
2.  Let the recipient know when a package will be arriving. You don't have to ruin the surprise of what's inside.
3. Get an affordable security surveillance system like Ring.
