Five Awesome Concerts are Scheduled at Wrigley Field for Summer 2022
Looking to see a show in 2022? You can't go wrong at Wrigley Field.
Maybe it's my fandom, maybe it's something else.
If you didn't know, I'm a diehard Cubs fan, so seeing a show at Wrigley is one of the coolest things ever.
I've seen Foo Fighters (twice) at Wrigley. I've also been there for Green Day, and Fall Out Boy shows over the years.
If you haven't seen a show at the Friendly Confines, might I suggest you do so this summer?
Not only because it's a baseball mecca everyone should visit at least once in their life, but the shows scheduled for this summer at Wrigley are also excellent.
One of which is a make-good show nearly two years in the making.
So while the Cubs take up a majority of time during the summer on the field, there is an all-star break in July and that's when the first of the five shows at Wrigley take place.
The Stadium Tour: Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Poison & Joan Jett and the Blackhearts is on Friday, July 8.
The next night, Saturday, July 9 is the returning Zac Brown Band.
A few weeks later, on Saturday, July 23, Country superstar Chris Stapleton along with Mavis Staples & Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobs take the stage.
IMHO, Chris Stapleton is one of the best live shows you can see. He's an excellent singer, a great songwriter, and an incredible guitarist.
Less than a month later, Lady Gaga is set to perform. Tickets for the show went on sale right at the beginning of the pandemic. The show was obviously canceled. Lady Gaga had hoped to do the show last August. That was postponed too.
Fingers crossed Mother Monster and the show happens on its scheduled day this year, Monday, August 15.
The last show of the summer at Wrigley Field is an interesting one. Set for Saturday, September 3 is The Lumineers & Caamp. It will be a chill evening with two of the top folks in America today.
Which of these five shows are you looking forward to the most? Tell us!
