Girl Struck By Lightning At Country Thunder Still In ICU

The unidentified girl struck by lightning at the Country Thunder music festival has been identified and she's still fighting to recover.

When sheriff's deputies first arrived at the scene, 22-year-old Brittney Prehn wasn't carrying any identification. Upon arrival at the hospital, authorities released her description in hope sthat someone would know who she was.

The lightning struck Brittney in her head and then passed all the way through her body and out her foot. It's a blessing she survived. Brittney is in the ICU at Loyola University's Burn Center.

We're all wishing Brittney a speedy recovery and a quick return to college in the fall and her goals to become a special education teacher. A GoFundMe account has been set up in her name to help with the medical expenses.
