Great America Opens for Socially Distant ‘Holiday in the Park’
Six Flags Great America theme park in Gurnee, Illinois is opening for the first time in 2020 for the return of 'Holiday in the Park'.
The third season of Holiday in the Park is underway as Six Flags opens to the public for the very first time this year. This event has become a new family tradition, and I couldn't be more thankful that we won't have to live without this event.
The 300-acre theme park is filled will dazzling holiday light displays. Organizers says that over three million lights were used to build this year's event. Holiday in the Park 2020 also features many new treats, tons of world-class performances,, and a few surprises the entree family will love.
For those looking to fill their social media feeds with tons of great pictures, you won't be disappointed, as Six Flags has constructed really fun photo ops throughout the park.
In accordance with Governor Pritzker’s reopening guidelines, the park will operate at reduced capacity levels and without rides. Great America is also implementing extensive safety measures and hygiene protocols, including several new advanced technology systems to protect guests and employees.
Holiday in the Park runs through Wednesday, December 30, 2020, with select dates open for shorter hours.
