This oscar-winning actor set to portray the former boxing great has played a cab driver, a quarterback, a legendary singer, the president, and a killer named 'motherf---er'.

This would be the first boxing movie Martin Scorsese has made since Raging Bull in 1980 and that film did pretty well; 7 Golden Globe nominations and a Best Motion Picture Actor-Drama win for Robert DeNiro and 8 Oscar nominations and a Best Actor statue for DeNiro. Could the same happen for the actor who's been cast to play Mike Tyson--JAMIE FOXX.

For the Mike Tyson biopic Scorsese will reunite with Wolf of Wall Street scriptwriter Terence Winter, who received an Oscar nomination for his adaptation of Jordan Belfort's book. But no matter how well the script is written, just how many sides of beef will Jamie have to eat and how many hours in the gym will he have to spend to make his portrayal believable? Whatever work he'll have to put in, I have no doubt he'll damn near kill himself getting prepared. Do you remember the work he put in to play Ray Charles in Ray? And for that role, Jamie was awarded a Best Actor Oscar and Golden Globe.

Jamie already has a tattoo on his head as well, he's just going to need to put one on his face too.

Getting 'beefy' at the gym is one thing... learning to replicate the hard-punching 'Iron' Mike Tyson is another thing entirely. Who now at 48-years-old admits he made a mess of his life, but for a while his power made him the undisputed face of boxing.

This footage will remind you why. And I dare you not to wince at some of these.

BlackFilm.com has the complete story behind this upcoming Mike Tyson biopic, which as of now, has no production date. Jamie already has the 'Tyson' voice impression down (spend some minutes watching Jamie's impressions... he's amazing). Mike Tyson wants us to pick his 10 best knockouts, I assume for Jamie Foxx to study. He shared this video from which we should pick.
