The spirit of Halloween is alive and well with folks finding new ways of thrilling audiences since there aren't really haunted houses this year.

As the Halloween legend goes the notorious H. H. Holmes' spirit has returned to his favorite burial site, Big Timer Campground, where it's said his victims still remain.

It's not just his victims that you may see, rumor has it that Holmes himself has been seen lurking in the shadows.

Terror in the Timber is a thrill-seeking even for those 10 and over and per guidelines, only four are allowed per car.

Those who enter must remain in their vehicles at all times but that doesn't mean they'll be safe from things that go bump in the night. Running all through October on Friday and Saturday nights, then beginning October 22nd you could also go on Thursdays too.

Love Halloween, but don't do scary?

They're also hosting Family Friendly trick-or-treating throughout October too.

Camp Big Timber is located at 7826, 37W955 Big Timber Rd. in Elgin. To get more information or to get your tickets, check out Terror in the Timber online here or their Facebook page.
