When Noah's Ark posted Jude for adoption on their Facebook page, they had no idea his original owner would see him available.

Noah's Ark on Facebook:

His family couldn’t believe it and contacted us, and once we got the real story, we knew the right thing to do was to get Jude back home.
Two little kids are very excited their boy is finally coming back home and never have to worry about what happened to him again.

With a story this sensational and unbelievable you have to think Noah's Ark was being put on.

The Facebook post does thank the family for "being patient with us" which tells me the family definitely needed to supply some form of proof that Jude is indeed theirs.

I don't blame Noah's Ark. A story like that definitely needs to be verified. I'm just glad that this doggo found its "fur-ever" home, again.
