Some movies are so classic and timeless that just mentioning them invokes a sense of nostalgia.

For me, that would be the Macauly Culkin classic Home Alone. I can't imagine going through the holiday season without watching this flick, and now folks can watch the movie in a theater with a special Q&A afterward.

Dubbed A Nostalgic Night With Macaulay Culkin Following a Screening of Home Alone, it's as nostalgic as it sounds.

If you've been to one of these before, you'll love it; if not, let me explain.

A handful of years ago, I went to Chicago to watch a screening of High Fidelity, followed by a Q&A with the film's star, John Cusack.

The "Home Alone tour" is essentially the same: replacing High Fidelity with Home Alone and Cusack with Culkin.

Is it for everyone? It depends. If you like watching movies from the comfort of your home and don't enjoy the theatre experience, you should probably skip it.

If you're a Culkin fan and absolutely love movies, especially Home Alone, you should probably check it out.

Here's the good thing: The "Home Alone tour," as I'm calling it, kicks off in Buffalo, New York, at the end of November.

Culkin and the movie will be in Rosemont on Friday, December 6, and then in Milwaukee on Saturday, December 7.

Tickets are on sale now, so grab them early in case they sell out.
