The City of Rockford recently used their Facebook page to encourage us all to be a bit more environmentally focused with our landscaping.
When it rains, much of that storm water is washing out chemicals and other pollutants right into our sewer system. Do you know where all that untreated water goes after its trip through the sewers? Right into the Rock River.
The diagrams below were recently published on the City of Rockford's Facebook page. They show just how simple it is to add a couple of things to your landscape, that over time will have a positive environmental impact.
