A Loves Park family got creative with their Mother's Day present for Grandma this year, and their "Hug Time" invention has went viral in the last few days.

Of all the the things we are having to sacrifice during this COVID-19 quarantine, not being able to spend time with family is the hardest one to swallow. A simple hug from Grandma and Grandpa or Mom and Dad could make everything so much more bearable right now, but for so many it's just not possible. It's simply not safe. So, what can we do about it? Sit home and fester in our sadness, or find a way to make the hugs you so desperately need a reality? The latter, for sure!

The Loves Park woman named Carly Marinaro who is responsible for making the amazing, viral "Hug Time" screen just shared instructions on how she made it on Facebook, and it sounds a lot simpler to do than one might think...

I'm thinking there is going to a be a major run for these supplies at Stateline-area home improvement stores, so you better jump on getting them today if you want to make your own "Hug Time" screen.

Thanks for sharing your creativity with the world, Carly. So many people NEED a hug from family right now, even if it's covered with plastic...we'll make it happen!

Stay home, stay safe, huge family through plastic, my friends. This will all be over soon. Hopefully...
