If You’ve Ever Sent A Text While Driving, You Need To See This

Theatergoers were in for a huge surprise while in Hong Kong recently. They were part of a "texting while driving" campaign supported by Volkswagen. If the resulting video doesn't get the point across, nothing will.

According to Texting and Driving Safety:

In 2011, at least 23% of auto collisions involved cell phones. That's 1.3 Million accidents!

 

Pretty sure that number has grown over the past few years. It is illegal to use your phone in Illinois, in any way shape or form while driving.

Matter of fact, I recently heard about the State and local police cracking down on those using their phones while driving. Other than driving with no clothes on, I can't think of a more embarrassing ticket to receive.
