Need a food suggestion? I've got you.
Vinny Vanucchi’s was just named Illinois' "most adorable small-town joint". MSN details -
Located on the cobbled streets of Galena, Vinny Vanucchi’s is a beautifully rustic Italian restaurant that will transport you to Tuscany. The spacious venue has four dining areas, including a cappuccino garden, making social distancing easy. The pollo compomare (chicken, broccoli, mushroom and tomato in a creamy, spicy sauce with linguine) and the spaghetti olio (with olive oil, garlic, fresh basil and chili) come highly recommended. Make a reservation via the website.
This place truly looks like it will transport you out of Illinois.
The food looks delicious and if you need a suggestion, MSN says you should try the pollo compomare or the spaghetti olio. Based off the menu, I don't think you can make a bad pick.
There's a ton of outdoor seating perfect for social distancing and for summer, so put this on your summer 2021 bucket list.
