iPhone Users Should Use Caution When Asking Siri This One Command
Telling Siri this command will call 9-1-1.
We've been having a lot of fun with Siri over the last couple of weeks; she's proven she pretty much knows everything and she even has a sense of humor. If you ask her anything about Bruce Jenner, she'll correct you and tell you it's Caitlyn Jenner. When you ask her to play Rhianna; you get fart noises and remember that one time when you asked her what zero divided by zero was and she gave you an answer that made you feel like a dope? You have no cookies and you have no friends. Ahh, that Siri.
But now, people have discovered that there's one command you don't want to ask Siri because it actually prompts the phone to call emergency services. That command? "Siri, charge my phone to 100%."
There's a theory that the command gives iPhone users who are in a danger, a discreet way to notify the authorities without tipping off those within earshot and others say it's not intentional at all; it's just how Siri breaks down the command.
Regardless, there are two things you can take away from this: Siri can't charge your phone to 100% because she can't get off the couch and plug your phone in for you and secondly, don't try the command just to see what happens.
