Illinois Among Most Deceitful States—And It’s Florida’s Fault

I've got good news and I've got bad news. Well, the more I think about it, this is really just bad news and slightly worse news. Illinois has just been ranked among the most deceitful states in America, but at least it's not Florida.

I saw this new feature just shared by Study Finds. It explores the most deceitful states in America based on 3rd party research by another site. They say that factors were explored including "fraud reports, romance scam losses, identity theft rates, and even Google searches" for nefarious things. People in each state were asked to confess to how often they lie and if they've been cheated on. With all of those metrics among a number of others crunched, Illinois came in among the top percentile for most deceitful states, but I blame Florida.

Hold on - why is Florida to blame for the sins of Illinois?

The Herald-Tribune shared a USA Today Network story last year that shows Illinois is one of the top 6 states Florida residents move to when they flee move from the Sunshine State. My conclusion is that Florida liars are moving to Illinois and corrupting our God-loving, law-abiding selves. 

Illinois might even be considered angelic if not for all of the Florida transplants. OK, so maybe that's taking my theory a little too far, but you get the idea. Yes, I admit Illinois is ranked among the most deceitful, but Florida deserves at least a little of the blame.
