Have you ever finished eating your lunch and thought, wow, every single bite I just took was for a good cause. Well this Wednesday, you can do just that.

All March long, Jersey Mike’s is raising money for the Literacy Council. This Wednesday, 100 percent of its sales go directly to that group. The event is part of Jersey Mike's nationwide "Day of Giving".

According to JM -

During the month of March, customers are invited to come into our restaurants and donate to a local charity partner. The campaign culminates in a nationwide event, Jersey Mike's Day of Giving® on the last Wednesday of March, when 100% of the day's sales are donated to the local partner charity.

Our Rockford area Jersey Mike's have chosen The Literacy Council as their charity. If you haven't heard of them, WREX details -

The Literacy Council offers one-on-one tutoring for adults to help them improve reading skills to better their life. The Literacy Council is also known for sharing books with parents and their children in Family Literacy Program’s PACT (Parent And Child Together) sessions and Well Child Clinic visits.

Jersey Mike’s has two locations in our area, One at 6284 E. State St. in Rockford and the other at 1513 W. Lane Rd. in Machesney Park.
