Kayla Lund-How Can This Be?

I don't know Kayla Lund. I don't know what she's going through right now, but I can tell you this. I'm sick this morning to learn that this woman is walking free.

I've been following this case very closely, and was confident walking in today, that I would be reporting some sort of a prison sentence, but no. She got time served, mostly on home arrest. How does that make sense when she had a child die because of her negligence?

As I'm reading the article this morning, the judge ruled a couple of months ago that prosecutors didn't prove Lund intended to kill her baby. According to what I read today, this baby had issues, but she never took him to the doctor, but she went to her own doctor appointments. Maybe Kayla didn't know when she became a mom, that your children come before you do. THEIR NEEDS BEFORE YOURS!

I'm glad to also see that she plans to be an ultrasound technician. (There's no way I would ever have her touch my stomach!)  Nice her life can go on, while her little baby is hopefully now, resting in peace.
