McDonald’s Delays Opening Dining Rooms and Will Require Masks

If you were hoping to bring the kids in for some Happy Meals and joyful fries, you're going to have to wait a little longer.

McDonald's is delaying the reopening of many of their dining rooms in order to implement more safety measures to protect employees and customers.

Beginning August 1, McDonald's will be requiring customers to wear face coverings. If a customer declines to wear a mask, McDonald’s says it is putting additional procedures in place “to take care of them in a friendly, expedited way”, according to wgntv.com.

McDonald's will also be using the extra time before reopening dining rooms to add barriers and divider panels throughout their restaurants.

The fast food chain's 30-day delay in opening restaurant dining rooms will not require locations that have already opened their dining rooms to revert to closing them.

I'm sure we can make do rolling through the drive-thru ordering a #2 with a diet coke.
