This one is not a food or product recall. This goes much deeper potentially affecting customers' bank accounts.

As a kid, I loved weekend grocery shopping. Like clockwork, it was always Saturday mornings in my house. I knew, at some point, two great things would happen that morning.

A. I would get to have free samples of food at Logli, now known as Schnucks.

B. I would get to flip through the most recent Tips & Tricks magazine to find cheat codes for the game I would undoubtedly rent that same morning.

DID YOU KNOW

Did you know Sunday used to be the busiest shopping day of the week? That shifted between Friday and Saturday in 2020, but there can only be one winner and that title goes to Saturday, according to NC Solutions.

Cleanup in the I.T. department!

Over the weekend Meijer Stores' corporate office announced a conundrum involving their payment system involving potentially all their stores. The company reported a widespread error involving its card payment system that occurred on Saturday, May 21, 2022.

Specifics weren't detailed but it could have led to some customers' credit or bank accounts being charged twice, according to WANE.

The corporate representative said just before 8 p.m. Saturday that the company’s IT department was working on the issue and was hoping to have it resolved soon.

At the time of the news release, there wasn't clarification of when the problem would be resolved or the extent of the digital hiccup.

Let this be a friendly reminder to hop on your bank/credit card company's app to double-check your transaction before leaving the parking lot.
