Mexican Food Is Illinois’ ‘Most Popular Ethnic Cuisine’

Taco Tuesday is popular everywhere across the United States but in Illinois' it's our favorite.

Whether you get down with tacos or burritos, chimichangas or chalupas, Mexican food is our jam.

Because a new study from chefspencil.com shows Illinois' "most popular ethnic cuisine" is Mexican food.

Italian, Chinese, Thai, Indian, and Japanese cuisines were also ranked using Google Trends.

The research revealed Chinese food was the most popular in the US and ranked second in Illinois followed by Italian. Japanese food was named least popular in the Land of Lincoln.

Chicago ranked 8th in the US "by Italian Food Popularity." It makes sense, Chicago Italian food is best.
