Don't try to do it all yourself. When you sign-up to be a bridesmaid, a few of the things involved include planning and attending the bridal shower(s) and bachelorette party.

Sometimes family members plan the showers, sometimes it's the maid, whoever is in charge, make sure it's not the same person that's planning the bachelorette party!

While both of those wedding events can be fun and are really important to your friend the bride, it is a HUGE task to take on planning both of the events. Divide the tasks between bridesmaids, there should be at least two of you, and all the weddings I've been in there have been at least four bridesmaids, so divide and conquer ladies! So you can save your sanity and have fun.
