Going to Chicago this summer? You could see a free concert featuring one of Rockford's very own headlining the show.

The Millennium Park Free Summer Concert Series has been going on for a few years at Pritzker Pavillion, which is short jaunt from "The Bean."

The shows have featured a few major label acts but mostly independent artists searching for what could be their big break.

The June 6 show could provide such a thing for Rockford native, Ryley Walker.

Walker has released three full length albums and has a what I believe, the perfect sound for a free summer concert.

The City of Chicago website describes Walker's 2015 album release, Primrose Green, a mix that "blurs the genre lines between folk, rock, jazz, and new music.

Walker's music is the kind where you can sit back, relax, have a drink or two and take in the sound and season.

Chicagoist has a full list of all the acts playing at Millennium Park's Free Summer Concert Series.
