One of the women from the brawl that was caught on video at an Indiana Walmart is now facing charges.

Not for assault, but for dragging her son into it.

If it's one thing I've learned as a parent, especially as a parent of a child who was diagnosed with ODD at the age of 6, is that their behavior is learned behavior. Children are extremely impressionable and it took me years to accept that my child was acting out because that's all he knew. I had to take a long hard look in the mirror and accept that he was only doing what he saw me doing in difficult situations. Thanks to therapy for both of us, we were able to overcome those difficulties and it wasn't until about 9 years after his diagnosis that things really got better. Which is why it's so important to be emotionally and mentally stable around your kids.

While I can't sit here and pretend like I know what's going on in someone else's home behind close doors, I have to imagine that the home life for the little boy involved in the Walmart brawl isn't all that healthy and stable. I understand that, according to Amber Stephenson, her son gets good grades, takes martial arts classes and isn't bullied at school but what drives a woman to encourage her son to punch another woman in the "f--king face"?

It's because of her ignorant request for her son's participation in the brawl that she's being charged with neglect of a dependent and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. She was also responsible for instigating the fight, which could have easily been avoided if she would've asked for assistance from a manager if she felt that the other woman involved, Rebecca Mills, was verbally abusing a store employee who had reportedly been taking up too much space in an aisle, which upset Mills.

Stephenson's contributing to the delinquency of a minor charge is only a misdemeanor, but the neglect of a dependent charge is a felony and could lead to jail time if she's convicted.

What do you think should happen to Stephenson?
