The 6 Best Things About Fall in Rockford
There's just something about this time of year. Cool, crisp air. The changing colors on the trees. The smell of pumpkins and apples in the air. Mmm. Yes, Fall.
I love to be outside constantly in the Fall. SO much beauty to behold and so many things to do. We're very lucky to have so many great opportunities to get outside and enjoy my favorite season. These are six of my favorites.
1. Pumpkin picking at Edwards Apple Orchard (and the donuts)
So much more fun than picking one up at the grocery store
2. Corn maze at the Pumpkin Patch
You should also add the maze at All Seasons in Franklinville to your list. It's shaped like Mario. Take a look.
3. Forest City Queen cruise *Only Open through October 15th
I love seeing all of the beautiful fall foliage along the river. Such a peaceful, relaxing cruise.
4. Anderson Japanese Gardens
So this place is a year-round fav, but in the fall... Wow. Go and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
5. Beef-A-Roo pumpkin bars
There are no words for this. Just one bite, and you'll be speechless.
6. Horseback riding at Lockwood Park
Another fun way to see all the fall colors. These trails are gorgeous. And the horses are too.
