New Coffee Shop Opening Soon In Rockford

It's more of a "lab" than a coffee shop but you get the idea.

It's in the name, Velvet Robot Coffee Lab, and it's opening soon in downtown Rockford.

According to the Rockford City Market website, Velvet Robot Coffee Lab was a resident this past year but now they're opening their own joint.

Velvet Robot Coffee Lab is going in at 116 North Madison, just another cool local Rockford original adding to a rejuvenated business block just south of East State Street.

There's more than Velvet Robot's signature cold-brewed coffee on the menu too.

A quick scan of the Velvet Robot Coffee Lab Facebook, reveals plans to serve breakfast and lunch and the options sound seriously delicious.

While Velvet Robot's official opening day has yet to be announced, be sure to check back often for updates.
