One of America’s Best Snow Tubing Resorts is in Wisconsin
Looking for a little something for the entire family this weekend? Here's the spot.
In my family, we've got a young one, six years old, not quite big enough to get on skis, so tubes and sleds are the way to go.
So why hang out on a boring hill in the neighborhood for a ho-hum day of sledding or tubing and instead go for the gusto to one of the best snow tubing resorts in America.
Lucky for us in the Rockford area, it's not too too far from home.
According to Family Vacation Critic, one of the best places for tubers big and small is in Hudson, Wisconsin.
About four and a half hours from Rockford, Hudson is home to Badlands Sno Park.
It was ranked 6th on Family Vacation Critic's 12 Best Snow Tubing Resorts in the U.S.
Badlands Sno Park offers tubing hills of varying levels. Little ones can start on the Bunny Hill, while big kids can head for the Big Hill. The Turbo slope is the ultimate; at over 1,300 vertical feet, it is the tallest tubing slope in the Midwest!
Badlandssnowpark.com says the "resort is spread out over 25 acres" and "social distancing is part of the fun" which is good if you're looking to keep safe while getting out and about.
Tickets just went on sale this week at Badlands Sno Park and according to their website, they cost $20.75 per tube. There are also set times when people can start using the hills.
