Earlier this month we discovered that Illinois' favorite dessert is a donut, which makes it so easy to understand why Stateline residents are so obsessed with the local apple orchards... because they make fresh donuts that aren't available all year long!
Sure, like me, your favorite donut might be a chocolate frosted chocolate donut, but perhaps that's just because you know you can get one any day of the year, but I bet you have a super sweet soft spot for the extra squishy apple cider donuts our local orchards are making from the end of summer through the end of fall.

So many of our local orchards close up shop in early November, but Edwards Apple Orchard West just announced that they will be open through the entire month of November, with Sunday, December 1 being their last day open for this season.
It could be winter by then! I say that as I'm typing on October 21 and it's 80 degrees out... but you never know.
How many times will you visit Edwards before they say goodbye for the season?
