People Are Saying This Restaurant Is The Home Of Illinois’ ‘Tallest Sandwich’

Say what? Who knew a restaurant making the state's tallest sandwich was even a thing?

I sure didn't, until recently when I found on OnlyInYourState a story about the "Tallest Sandwich in Illinois."

As someone who would drive far and wide to try the best of the best foods, I was naturally intrigued.

As it turns out I won't have to drive too far for what is called the "Tallest Sandwich in Illinois."

That's because it's in nearby Galena, at Big Bill's Sandwich Shop and Coffee Bar at 301 North Main Street.

OnlyInYourState describes the "Tallest Sandwich in Illinois" as layered with "different kinds of meats, cheeses, and vegetables with a side of chips."

That sandwich isn't only the tallest sandwich in Illinois it might also be the thickest but it begs the question. Is there a sandwich in Rockford you know of that might actually be taller, or even better yet, thicker? Let us know.
