Prayers for Capron Family’s First Christmas Without Daddy

Our community is amazing in so many ways and we should all feel blessed to be a part of it. We do good things here. We help people.

A little over a month ago, a young family lost their father. Evan Hopperstad was doing his job that he loved to do when there was an unimaginable accident that lead to the loss of his life. Evan's girlfriend and mother of his 2 children, Kylie, is devastated for their two sons, ages 1 and 4. They loved and idolized their daddy, as young boys do.

But in the midst of tragedy, hope shines through.

According to wifr.com, Evan's family has received a tremendous amount of support from the community. They are overwhelmed with by it all. Friends, family, co-workers, and even people they don't know are stepping up to help. The Loves Park VFW has donations pouring in left and right.

Evan's mother is also having a hard time dealing with the tragic loss. She lost a friend to a similar accident years ago and had always been fearful of her son's work. She is having a memorial bench put in at the Boone County Fairgrounds because Evan loved the fair so much.
