Loves Park Mom's Huge Weight Loss Will Leave You Speechless

Have you ever wanted to change your life? We all have things we struggle with on a daily basis. We all have our weaknesses.

Finances, relationships, our careers, depression, addictions, our weight, the list is endless. On Sunday, at City First Church, pastor Jeremy DeWeerdt spoke of weakness. He said we must admit our weaknesses to each other. As it says in 2 Corinthians 12:9 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’

We need to remember that change is a process, not an event. This is something else he said. We can't just all say a prayer and expect God to snap his fingers and give us our desires. No. We need to work hard, and with good intentions. It takes time to achieve goals. Baby steps. Isn't that what they say?

So where am I going with all of this you may ask? I will enlighten you. There is a woman in Loves Park who is setting an example for all of us. She has taken the bull by the horns and tackled her weakness. At her heaviest, Wendy weighed 430 pounds. She started her journey 2.5 years ago and is still fighting hard. Wendy has lost 175 lbs. Naturally. That's pretty much a miracle in this day and age as most people jump to pills or surgery for extreme weight loss. Not Wendy. She was determined to get healthy on her own. Through a healthy lifestyle, putting in extremely hard work at the gym, and amazing support from her family and friends Wendy has led an inspirational journey that we can all learn something from.

However, now she is at a standstill. Wendy has an abundant amount of excess skin that she can not lose without surgical intervention.
