Popular reality shows are fake? Really? Gee, you don't say. I would like to believe, if you're anything like me, that there is a small part of us that really hopes that some of our favorite reality shows are real; mostly because we hope to be on that particular show some day and there's no way we'd ever be able to fake something like that. And I use the term "fake" loosely because in this particular instance, it's completely innocent and I understand the reasons why this show would try to pull the wool over our eyes.

House Hunters, which featured an episode in Rockford last year, has been called out for being a sham; along with six other shows, in this video.

Does this change how you view your favorite reality shows? In the case of House Hunters, it totally makes sense. Buying a house is a very time consuming process and the producers of a television show only have so much time; it doesn't affect me knowing that the purchaser is viewing the house for a second time or that they already bought the house; it's still fun to watch.
