Rockford Convenience Store Sells $10M Scratch-Off Ticket
Okay, so this is wild—someone in Rockford just became $10 million dollars richer after buying a lottery ticket at a local convenience store.
According to the Illinois Lottery, a winning scratch-off ticket worth $10,000,000 was sold at Stop N Shop on Huffman Blvd in Rockford.
The store manager said they've sold winning tickets before, anywhere from $100,000 to $900,000, but nothing even close to this newest payout.
“I kept saying ‘The next one has to be a million-dollar winner,’ but I never in a million years expected it to be worth $10 million!” [mystateline]
This isn't the first massive lottery win in the Rockford area lately. A woman in Roscoe won $500,000 on a scratch off and someone in Cortland won $349M. These are lifechanging amounts of money, but $10,000,000? That's insane.

The winner hasn't been identified yet or come forward, so if you've bought a Bankroll lottery ticket from Stop N Shop anytime recently, check your tickets again and make sure your life isn't about to change drastically
The convenience store is getting $100,000 as a bonus for selling the winning ticket, and they'll be sharing the win with the staff, upgrading the store, and throwing a customer appreciation party thi summer.
It really is moments like these that give you a little bit of hope that you'll be the next million dollar winner in Rockford. When's my big break?! That's what I've been asking myself for a very long time. You'll never win if you don't play, right?
If you won the $10,000,000, what would be the first thing you're spending it on?
