Rockford Cop Delivers his Baby on State Street, in Uniform
To protect and serve, and deliver.
Is there anything Rockford Police Officers can't do? According to RRSTAR Rockford police officer James Nachampassack, delivered his girlfriend's baby Sunday morning while still in blue.
Officer Nachampassack was doing his job of transporting criminals to the Winnebago County Jail and then when it was quitting time early Sunday morning, he had another big job.
Upon arriving at home, his girlfriend made it perfectly clear that it was "go time", she was ready to have their baby. The car was loaded up and off to SwedishAmerican they went, but baby had other ideas.
From Alpine to State it was determined that it was time for baby to come into this world NOW.
Looking at the dashboard clock, Officer Nachampassack says that his girlfriend gave birth at 5:42 a.m. Their babies name is Leo, 7-pound, 12-ounce happy and healthy.
Congrats Officer Nachampassack of The Rockford Police Department on this successful delivery, job well-done sir.
