I truly believe there is a special place in heaven for the kind, compassionate and loving men and women who get up every single day and take care of our loved ones who are preparing to pass on.  Whether it's for a brief moment or they've been by our side through the entire ordeal, it takes a lot for a stranger to go out of their way for others that are going through so much pain. It can't be easy.

Cue the caregivers at Northern Illinois Hospice. That's where Ken Markley is being treated for Congestive Heart Failure and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy; with both, his life expectancy is about two years.  Ken's only 29-years-old and there is still so many things that he wants to do; one of them was to see the new Star Wars movie, so when his caregivers found out that he wanted to go, they made it happen.

BRB, crying. Thank you to the amazing people of Northern Illinois Hospice for making Ken's dream come true and lots of love to the Markley family. We can all learn an important lesson from your strength and resilience and remember to live each day like it's your last.
