Rockford Might Soon Be Home to a Year Round City Market
Will this be the last year we have to say good-bye to City Market for the winter?
Everyone loves Rockford City Market, but everyone hates when it closes up shop for the winter, but according to WREX, we might soon be home to a year long indoor version.
WREX reported on Friday that there's been talk about a year long indoor City Market for a while but this Tuesday's City Council meeting could speed up the process.
The proposal features a building on Madison street where the indoor market would go, but only in the off season. The current City Market would continue where it is during the summer months.
The topic of allocating funds to the indoor city market will be debate and possibly voted on during the meeting this week.
