There are so many events happening in Rockford this weekend, but if you're looking for the coziest way to kick off the holiday season, bundle up and head to the 7th annual Snømarket at The Norwegian!

This three-day event is totally free and open to the public, and it's honestly one of the most charming holiday events I've ever been to.  Experience it for yourself!

Rockford’s Snømarket Returns to The Norwegian for Cozy Three-Day Celebration

You can warm up at Snømarket with their homemade glögg, sip on hot chocolate, snack on æbleskiver, fresh lefse, "fish on a stick," and plenty more Scandinavian treats.  It's the kind of food that makes you feel like you've stepped into a snowy little village in Norway.

There's also a ton to do: take free horse-drawn carriage rides through the historic Churchills Grove, jump into games like herring toss, sing your heart out at Christmas carol-oke, or cozy up by the fire pit and listen to Chef Kent tell Viking stories!

Chef Kent has also made 450 gallons of glögg since working at The Norwegian.

So don't forget to bundle up, get your crew together, and come hungry!  So many to do at this year's Snømarket.  I also heard there will be oyster shots like previous years, and I did try it one time.  You gotta have a strong stomach for that kinda shot!
