Rockford’s Festival of Frights Lights Up Sinnissippi Park Through Halloween Night
There’s something extra magical about seeing Halloween lights glow through the trees at Sinnissippi Park. A Rockford favorite that’s been lighting up the park for seven years now is back and bigger than ever!
Free Drive-Through Halloween Lights
Grab the kids, load up the car, and cruise through a mile of spooky-fun displays every night from dusk until 9 p.m. through Halloween night. It’s completely free to drive through, so you can enjoy the glowing pumpkins, flying bats, and haunted trees as many times as you’d like.

Donations Help Local Kids
While admission is free, the Festival of Frights accepts donations at the park, with a suggested $10 per vehicle. Every dollar goes toward something special: buying new Halloween costumes for local kids in need. That’s what makes this event feel so good, it’s fun for your family and helps other families right here in our community.
Tricks, Treats, and Rockford Traditions
Halloween night brings even more fun with treats (and a few tricks) for families who stop by. Each year, the organizers add new light displays, so even if you’ve been before, there’s always something new to see.
Plan your spooky drive tonight at Sinnissippi Park (1401 N 2nd St, Rockford) and be part of a Rockford tradition that gives back.
