Yesterday I was on a rant over the fact that several local pools and beaches cannot open for public swimming this summer because there is a lack of lifeguards. That fact has me legit worried about the work ethic of our future generation, but then I came across these two Stateline-area teens that are spending their summer honoring teachers, instead of sitting on their butts.

According to their Facebook, Raising Men Lawn Care Service- Winnebago County, IL Chapter, since 2019, Kyle and Kaiden have mowed over 100 yards free of charge for Stateline area veterans, the elderly, single moms, disabled persons and first responders, and this summer their new mission is to honor 50 hard-working educators in Winnebago County. How's that for some inspiration?

After seeing that post I went on a search to find out more about these inspirational teens, and what I discovered is Raising Men Lawn Care Service is actually a national movement anyone can be a part of!

What Is Raising Men Lawn Care Service All About?

According to weareraisingmen.com, the mission of Raising Men Lawn Care Service is;

We want to unite the extraordinary community that is present in our local area. We are completely confident in the fact that we can provide a very inspirational program that focuses on channeling the energy that youths have in a positive way as well as helping those who need it the most. We know that sometimes youth want to help the community and sometimes people need it, but it can be hard to know who, why and where. We focus on getting all of this sorted out while also helping people around the area to care for and maintain their lawns.

Anyone ages 7-17 can join the Raising Men Lawn Care Service, which actually provides more than just lawn mowing for people in need. They also provide leaf raking and snow shoveling services. Pretty sure teens these days could strongly benefit for an organization like this, please check out weareraisingmen.com today.

And lastly, big thanks to Kyle and Kaiden for your hard work and awesome efforts. You rock!
