UPDATE (5/11/20): Due to an overwhelming response, more area high schools have been added to the glowing tribute list.
Please see the expanded Glowing For Grads schedule below, which includes all high schools in Winnebago County, all high schools in the NIC-10, and colleges/ universities based in Rockford.
[5/8/20]
Unforgettable, a word loved and hated, by the Class of 2020. Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens is creating a memory graduates will love.
For everyone who has graduated from high school, it feels as if it's our duty to show as much love as possible to the Class of 2020. No last few weeks of walking the halls they may never see again. No hanging out in the parking lot getting yearbooks signed. No awards program. No big musical. And, not traditional graduation ceremony.
Nicholas Conservatory is very well-known for being All Aglow, during the Christmas season, but for the Class of 2020, they're lighting up the big glass house for a different reason.
Glowing for Grads. To show their support, Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens (NCG), will be celebrating graduates with a special light show. Specific area high school's colors will be featured on select nights. There will also be special messages for the Class of 2020 featured on the NCG marquee.
Each night at dusk, starting Monday, May 11 the lights will be turned on. They will stay on throughout the night.
Find the night you and your grad need to get to the gardens, in the UPDATED Facebook post below.
