Roscoe Police will be performing extra patrols in order to crack down on one of the worst hazards on the road, distracted drivers. Talking and texting account for way too many accidents on area roads. During Distracted Drivers Week, police will be spending a great deal of time looking for those texting and talking while behind the wheel, according to mystateline.com.

The fines for getting caught using a phone while behind the wheel start at $75 for first time offenders and can go up to $150
