South Carolina shooting: Officer charged and fired; protesters demand justice. (CNN)

***Yesterday I was referred to as 'Anti-Cop' because of sharing the 'shooting' video. I was accused of having no respect for the badge and the sacrifices officers make everyday. I tried to not let that baseless accusation affect me, thought I'd sleep on it and just let it go. I can't. What I DO believe in is EVERYONE'S right to live their life, obey the law, and go home at night to be with their families. I've donated countless personal and professional hours and dollars supporting first responders. The fact is, I never shared an opinion on this shooting in South Carolina, I only shared the video that everyone has the right to see. And because of that video (and his actions within it) the officer has been charged and fired. And because his words apply here, I'll share my tweet from yesterday as well.

My dad. My dad my dad my dad my dad. My love my dad. My dad. My hero. My dad. My dad my love my loving father. My strength my might. My friend. My hugs. My laughter. My love. My dad. Oh my heart. My heart. He loved us so. He loved us so. So so much. I am forever my father's daughter and he will never been gone.

Geoffrey scared the crap out of us, when I was 11 years old, in the vampire mini-series Salem's Lot. It doesn't seem as terrifying now. It was 1979 and we hadn't seen many vampires in movies plus special effects weren't what they are now.
