Could these petitions have the strength it needs, to get Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, to allow these self-employed professionals to go back to work? Take a look.

You may think that signing petitions would never help influence a decision so great as to allow this kind of business activity to be reclassified as 'essential', who cares, it couldn't hurt.

This is exactly what the first MoveOn.org petition is asking,

Allow us, as licensed professionals, to perform our service(s) privately, one client at a time, ASAP. All necessary precautions, sanitation, and protocols approved by the state of Illinois and the local Health Department will be followed. Servicing one client at a time poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as it does to having 10-20 people in a grocery store or food service setting.

Allow a licensed beauty professional to perform a beauty service/ privately with one client in the salon / per stylist at a time Starting as of Monday, April 27, 2020. All necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the state of Illinois and the local Board of Health will be followed. Our industry needs to be recognized & deemed as an essential business so we can better serve our community.
Servicing one client at a time (while wearing a mask & gloves) poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as compared to 20 or more people in a grocery store or 10 plus people at restaurants picking up food.
