Spiderman Raccoon Scales Midwest Skyscraper; Becomes American Hero

Look up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane, no- it's a raccoon.

Oh wait, that's a Superman reference; in this story, we're talking about Spiderman. A furry, frightened racoon that captured the hearts and attention of my fellow Minnesotans by scaling the side of a downtown St. Paul skyscraper yesterday.

WCCO says this started at around 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, and much like Spiderman, in the chill of the night, he was at the scene of the crime...still.

The unfortunate thing is that the only way this raccoon will survive is by saving itself; a rescue mission would be too dangerous for both the raccoon and animal control.

For now, the public anxiously waits...and tweets; and just as I'm writing this, we've got the best news directly from Twitter.

Hooray, he made it to the top of the USB Building!

Let this serve as a great lesson today, folks- if the MPR raccoon can safely make it to the top of a skyscraper, you can do just about anything; all you have to do is "get some rest and keep climbing."
